We're excited to host our Youth Flag Football and Skills Development practices, designed to give kids a fun and safe way to learn the game of football, build teamwork, and stay active.

Flag Football Skills & Drills Summer Camp

We're excited to host our Youth Flag Football and Skills Development practices, designed to give kids a fun and safe way to learn the game of football, build teamwork, and stay active.

Here's what to expect:

  • Who: Ages 5–11
  • When: Schedule Below
  • Where: Wallenpaupack HS Stadium
  • Why: To help young athletes develop their football skills and have FUN!
  • Registration & Waiver: In-person at stadium entrance, fill out once, come early!
  • Cost: $5 per child per practice (supports WJB Football & Cheer)

These practices are perfect for kids at any skill level, whether they have registered for Junior Buckhorns 2026 Football Season or just want to come learn more about the sport, the team and our program.

Age & Weight Classes

Players must be within the age requirement on May 1, 2026.

  • I-Team: Ages 5–7, Under 105 lbs
  • C-Team: Ages 8–9, Under 120 lbs
  • B-Team: Ages 10–11, Under 145 lbs

Equipment

Your sign-up fee covers all equipment excluding football cleats.

Mega-BUCK Raffle fundraisers help cover remaining uniform pieces: rib-shirt, pants, jersey, and helmet.

Cheer Information

Squads by Grade

Grades as of August 1, 2026

  • I-Squad: Grades K–2
  • C-Squad: Grades 3–4
  • B-Squad: Grades 5–6
  • A-Squad: Grades 7–8

B & A squads combine for sideline games and separate for competitions.

Equipment & Uniform

Sign-up fee covers: shell (cheer top), skirt, pom poms, cheer bag.

Megaphone fundraisers help cover: turtleneck, bloomers, socks, bow, warm-up suits.

Parents are responsible for cheer shoes and uncovered items.

Skills & Training

No experience necessary!

We start by focusing on basic motions, jumps, tumbling, and stunting. Conditioning, flexibility, and strength training are key components of every practice.

Football Program

Our football program is designed for players of all skill levels. With divisions based on age and experience, we provide a competitive and educational experience where athletes can develop their skills in a fun, structured environment.

Cheer Program

Our cheerleaders bring spirit and energy to every game! From sideline cheers to halftime performances and competitions, our program teaches cheerleading fundamentals while fostering confidence, teamwork, and athleticism. The Wallenpaupack Junior Buckhorn Cheer program is dedicated to assisting cheerleaders develop fundamental cheerleading skills, promoting teamwork, encouraging participation in sideline and competitive cheer, and supporting active lifestyles and fun!

Cheer Grades K–8

Squads by Grade

Cheerleaders must be entering the grade as of August 1st.

  • I-Squad: Grades K–2
  • C-Squad: Grades 3–4
  • B-Squad: Grades 5–6
  • A-Squad: Grades 7–8

*B and A squad will only combine during sideline football games and will separate to perform at competitions.

Fundraising

Young athletes can play an active role in sustaining their sports programs by engaging in donation-based fundraising efforts, creating meaningful connections with potential donors through sharing their personal sports stories, goals and fostering an appreciation for community support that extends beyond the playing field.
